cable reel for a port terminal crane in Jiangsu Province.
Working Principle Cable Unwinding:
The cable is pulled out from the cable reel by the pulling force generated when the trolley travels. When the trolley moves towards the terminal, the cable reel unwinds the cable. When the trolley reaches the end of the high-voltage cable at both ends, the limit switch is activated, and the trolley stops running.
Cable Rewinding: The cable is retracted by the motor in the cable reel driving the reel. The start of the trolley traveling mechanism lags slightly behind the start of the cable reel. After the trolley stops traveling, the cable reel should stop after a delay.
Maintenance Check Cable Condition:
Regularly inspect the cable for damage, aging, cracks, etc. If any problems are found, replace or repair the cable in time.
Clean Dirt: Frequently clean dust, oil stains and other dirt on the cable reel to prevent accumulation from affecting the normal operation of the equipment.
Lubricate Rotating Parts: Add lubricant to the rotating parts of the cable reel, such as bearings and gears, to ensure smooth operation.
Inspect Electrical System: Check whether the connections of electrical components such as motors, frequency converters, slip rings and brushes are firm and whether the insulation is good, and deal with any problems found in a timely manner.
